Community Meeting: Alcott Elementary

On Thursday, February 29, 2024, members of Lake Washington School District’s capital projects team met with staff, families and community members from Alcott Elementary to discuss the future of their school community. Pre-design has begun to develop plans to rebuild and enlarge Alcott Elementary*. There is a potential option to build the new school in a different location within the Alcott Elementary boundary. There are a number of considerations for making this change, and the goal of the meeting was to understand what information staff and community members think the district should consider as they work through next steps. Either option will require a funding measure to pass before we can rebuild the school.

Below are the PowerPoint slides from this meeting, along with the project boards.
